COM (Computer Output Microfiche)

Microfiche is recognized universally as an acceptable archive medium. As such, our COM services enable companies and organizations to meet their long term records retention requirements and save money at the same time. We can microfiche your data at a fraction of the cost of printing and storing the information on greenbar paper. A single microfiche can hold from 200 to over 600 pages of computer data depending on whether a 42x, 48x or 72X reduction ratio is used.

We feature Anacomp state of the art XFP2000 COM Recorders which insures our customers and business partners enjoy the benefits derived from using the latest that technology has to offer. In addition to a bit-mapping feature, our COM Recorders include the ability to handle intelligent data streams such as Xerox Metacode and DJDE so that our customers can archive their laser printed statements, invoices, etc. with exact image fidelity. This eliminates the expense of having to subsequently microfilm the paper.

Because of our unique ability to produce microfiche from intelligent data streams coming off Xerox laser printers, we often partner with other COM Service Bureaus who wish to offer this service to their customer base.

CSM offers its clients 24-hour a day courier service, as well as the option of utilizing secure FTP to our servers. Approximately 70 percent of the microfiche we produce comes to us in the form of FTP from throughout the United States.
